Perfect cloud cover for an outdoor summer Richmond VA wedding, the sweetest golden retriever, a stunning invitation suite created/painted by the the bride’s mother, a personalized ceremony by the groom’s father, dozens of gorgeous floral arrangements, a fireworks show, ice cream truck, and the happiest laid back couple… this Willow Oaks Country Club wedding was full of all my favorite things to photograph 🙂 Congrats Amy and Mark!!!

From Heidi’s gorgeous custom made marigold dress, to the appearance of the one and only Gelati Celesti ice cream truck (Tom’s family’s business), to the South African floral inspiration (a nod to Heidi’s childhood upbringing), to the amazing paper flower wall at their reception (created by Tom’s mother)… Tom and Heidi’s wedding day was anything but ordinary, and was visually STUNNING! Start with a beautifully preserved family-owned historic plantation, complete with a tree lined driveway and a large working farm… add in a pre-ceremony cocktail hour, a warm Fall day, some vintage cars, a laid back ceremony, a quick thunderstorm, delicious bbq, an energetic band that kept everyone onto the dance floor the ENTIRE night, the sweetest family, and two warm and funny people who are clearly a perfect fit for one another… and you have Casey and Jillian’s wedding day! Keswick Plantation has so many memories for the Keck family and we were so happy to have the honor of capturing one more for them!

I knew Chris and Kelly’s wedding would be fun from the first day we met. Everything they described was right up my alley- a laid back day at the Historic Mankin Mansion, a personalized outdoor ceremony, Moscow mules flowing like wine, and a packed dance floor. What I didn’t know, was that there would be the coolest celebrity EVER in attendance. And neither did Chris and Kelly- it was a pretty awesome surprise.
